7 Reasons to Choose Ambush for Your New Hunting Blind

At Ambush, we are super proud of the premium hard-sided blinds we build for hunters of every background. Here are seven reasons to choose Ambush for your new hunting blind and why we believe we make the best deer blinds!

Your New Hunting Blind from Ambush Features Top-Notch Construction

At Ambush, you have a choice between the Phantom, a 5’X5’ blind with a bowed roof, and the 6’X6’ Stalker, our largest hunting blind. The Stalker comes in an octagon shape, giving you a 360-degree view without blind spots and helps the blind blend in better than other square blinds. We removed the vertical lines and 90-degree corners.

We developed the designs of the Stalker and Phantom Series hunting blinds through trial and error. When making the perfect deer hunting blind, we knew the blind had to be exceptionally quiet, warm, and scent-proof.

Therefore, we made the floor a 1 1/2-inch thick welded aluminum structure with lamination. This gives you a 2 1/4-inch thick single-piece floor that is well-made, silent, and secure. With additional materials and zero mechanical fasteners, this ensures little to no noise will be made while moving around.

In addition, the walls begin with welded aluminum studs and framed-in windows. Then, a fiberglass exterior with EPS Styrofoam insulation and wood substrate laminate forms a single-piece wall. This allows for warmer interiors and certainly provides better sound dampening and superior scent control.

In each of our top-line hunting blinds, we include a shelf, Ultra Stealth interior, rubber flooring, and leg brackets at each corner. We consider these items standard for a ready-to-hunt blind.

Unparalleled Stealth and Concealment

Game animals use all their senses to detect even the most cautious hunter. Equipped with the right hunting blind accessories and combined with Ambush’s exceptional design, a hunter can hide better and prevent movement, sounds, and scent from reaching the most cautious game.

Hunter’s movements are concealed by the dark interior–a commercial-grade black fabric that completely covers the interior of the blind, eliminating light that can reflect or reveal deer hunters. A unique, four-layer wall structural system provides a sound barrier that is unequaled in the hunting blind industry. The floor’s five layers consist of a corrugated plastic exterior, Luan 1.5 lb. density EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) foam layer, a second layer of Luan, ultra-rigid fiberglass, and a high traction rubber floor in the interior.

The wall joints are made of extruded aluminum and are sealed from behind to eliminate sound further. Finally, a rubberized floor makes Ambush Hunting Blinds the most durable and quietest blinds on the market.

A complete line of hunting blind accessories like bow hangers, solar charging kits and interior lighting kits are available allowing you to customize your blind. Ambush Hunting Blinds also have a superior design for the windows, using silent window hinges and real glass. The value of silent hinges and real glass becomes very apparent as a hunting blind ages. Silent hinges remain quiet because they do not rust and the glass windows are less prone to fogging, which is common with aged plexiglass.

When insulating our hunting blinds, we choose to use EPS styrofoam insulation. This type of insulation, paired with our lamination process, allows for the greatest r-factor to help keep you warm. And the acoustic layer will help keep noise within the hunting blind. The construction also adds strength through the lamination process.

Ultimate in Comfort

At Ambush, our hunting blinds feature a complete fiberglass exterior and EPS Styrofoam insulation for maximum sound control.  Ambush delivers models ranging in size from 5×5 feet to 6×6 feet.  At over 6 feet tall, there is plenty of room for hunting gear and companions. You can even stand-up as needed! Ambush hunting blinds set up quickly and are completely customizable with a selection of optional hunting blind accessories like light kits, solar charging kits, and bow hangers.

Ambush Blinds will keep you dry on wet, rainy days and protect you from harsh outdoor elements like wind and snow. With a hunting blind built to suit the needs of everyone in your crew, you will be able to relax in comfort and enjoy the nature surrounding you. Bottom line, you’ll enjoy staying out in the woods long after your buddies have gone back to camp!

Versatility

You can now convert your Stalker hunting blind into an easy-to-move hunting blind or set it up to use as an ice fishing skid house with the new Stalker Hunting Blind Ski Kit!

The hunting blind ski kit comes with two strong steel skis to pull your hunting blind through the woods or on the ice that are powder coated in black to match your blind. The skis include 3/8″ Hyfax to protect the ski from wear and tear and to make pulling easier. Simply attach the skis to your Stalker blind using the grade 8 bolts and nuts that are included with the ski kit.

The Ski kit is designed for the Stalker hunting blind exclusively and will not fit the Phantom. Catch Cover Holes sold separately.

Hunting Blind Accessories to Make Your Hunt Awesome

Camo window treatments, ventless heater, and solar charging kit-these are just a few hunting blind accessories we have to make your hunt a little sweeter.

Five- and ten-foot elevation kits will get your deer blind up off the ground, giving you a better vantage point.

Two Ambush Hunting Blind Models to Choose From

When considering Ambush for your new hunting blind, choose between the Stalker and Phantom blind models.

Stalker

The Stalker’s octagon shape provides better than 270 degrees. With eight total shooting windows, including vertical windows, you can take advantage of 360-degree shot opportunities with either rifle, shotgun, crossbow, or bow. Because of the Stalker’s size, it can accommodate more than one hunter–perfect for children or grandchildren. The Stalker is equipped with four leg brackets that accept 4x4s if you choose to build your own blind elevation stand. The leg brackets are also designed for our 5-foot or 10-foot powder-coated steel blind stands. Packed with features, our flagship hunting blind has it all.

Phantom

The Phantom is 5’ x 5’ with a bowed roof–perfect for a single hunter. The window size and configuration offer the perfect blend of shot opportunities and concealment. The Phantom features the same quality construction methods as the Stalker. Equipped with 4” X 4” leg brackets, this stand is equipped to accept the Ambush blind stand elevation kit, or you can build your own blind stand using 4X4 dimensional lumber.

Enjoy a Low Maintenance Hunting Blind

Our hunting blinds are virtually maintenance-free. They can be easily cleaned thanks to the fiberglass exterior, rubber roof, and glass windows.

All of our window and door openings use an automotive-type weather seal. This seal remains flexible in even the coldest weather, helping our windows to always remain silent when opening or closing. When you close all the doors and properly latch the windows, the blind is virtually impenetrable by insects and rodents.

The best hunting is comfortable hunting. Maybe you’re a run-and-gun hunter wanting the option to pursue wild game from a hunting blind. With exceptional concealment, scent-proofing, and quality construction, you can be assured that your blind will last years. It’s a bit of work on the front end and much more involved to set up than a hub-style ground blind. But once you have the perfect area scouted and get it set up, your Ambush hunting blind will perform perfectly for generations to come.
